General Manager New Zealand
Justin Dawson joined International Timber Solutions as General Manager of our New Zealand operations in March 2020. He is based in Napier and is responsible for all supply from New Zealand. Justin has extensive experience across various segments of the timber industry, including sawmilling, processing and sales. He has close to 20 years’ experience in Sales and General manager roles. Justin prides himself on being able to find the right balance between the needs of the supplier and the customer, identifying the best solution for both. Justin believes that transparency and open communication are key to ensuring long-term, sustainable relationships. Justin holds a National Certificate in Solid Wood Processing.
Managing Director
Gerret Springer is Managing Director and founder of the company and is based in Mt Gambier. Gerret has experience in a wide range of managerial roles in small and large businesses including green field start-up as technical manager, project manager, production manager, site manager with multiple sites and international sales and marketing manager. He has business experience in the timber and prefabricated housing industry in Europe, North America and Australasia. Gerret holds a masters degree as Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl-Ing) in Wood and Fibre Engineering from the Technical University Dresden, Germany and published his post graduate work undertaken at the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Gerret is a Graduate of the International Programme of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Accounts & Finance Officer
Melena joined ITS in 2025, she is a dedicated Finance Officer with extensive experience across diverse industries, she brings a strong interest in tax planning, succession planning, and superannuation. With an analytical mindset and a passion for helping individuals and businesses navigate complex financial landscapes, she combines practical insight with strategic thinking. She also holds a Certificate IV in Accounting, supporting her commitment to accuracy and continuous professional growth.
Export Documentation
Jenni Taylor is part of our Export Documentation Team based in Mt Gambier, joining International Timber Solutions in 2022. Jenni has worked in the Timber Industry for 20+ years having held positions with Weyerhaeuser Australia, Green Triangle Forest Products, Carter Holt Harvey, TimberLink Australia and now with International Timber Solutions. She has extensive knowledge and experience in the Sustainable Forestry Industry with roles in Logistics, Scheduling, Customer Service, Forecasting and Demand & Supply. Working for International Timber Solutions which has a culture of promoting safety and family values along with a great work ethic is what attracted Jenni to join the team.
